In Turkey, about 450 thousand trucks of goods are carried as FTL per a day. The monthly FTL shipment volume is over 13.5 million trucks. Turkey has the largest truck market in Europe. 1.2 million SRC(authorized) certified truck drivers earn money by transportation.
TIRPORT technologies are making progress in reducing carbon emissions by enhancing the ability to connect shipments more effectively. TIRPORT automated booking-matching technology reduces empty miles from the industry standard of 35% to the half. Our world is facing a massive problem of inefficiency and our environment is paying all the price.
A single truck spends 0,3 L/km of fuel and in consumption of 1L diesel, it releases 2,77 kg of CO2. According to the provided data, in Turkey there is a daily emission of 105.453.000 kg CO2 by the trucks on the road.
The emission of CO2, which increases because of thousands of trucks on the road, has a negative impact on lot of things, especially for nature. At this very point, TIRPORT prevent an emission of 55.251.875 kg CO2 with the technology that we developed and aimed at the logistics sector; in addition to that, the number of prevented emission heightens every single day.
The emission of CO2 is a major threat. TIRPORT contributes to the decrease of these emissions and with the revolutionary technology aimed at logistics and transportation, TIRPORT comes closer to stop the threat.

As mentioned;

A driver who carries a load, works in average, 20 days in a month and goes 282km per day. This number is equivalent to 5.640 km per month and 67.680 km in a year.
A truck which spends 0,3L/km by going 282 km per day, burns 282*0,3L= 84,6 L diesel. As we know that 1L diesel makes 2,77kg of CO2, in average, a truck releases 2,77*84,6L= 234,34kg CO2 to the nature.
In Turkey, where 450.000 trucks are on the road every single day, this number increases to 105.453.000 kg per day.

With TIRPORT the Drivers Find Return Loads, The Emission of CO2 Decreases 35%

35% of the shipping trucks in Turkey make “non-revenue” kilometers. Thousand of drivers who can’t find loads from the regions they went, searches city by city for loads or most of the time they return to their pickup points without a return load. This situation has a negative impact on the truckers’ budgets, and also increases the emission of CO2 which is the main reason of the global warming.
TIRPORT, provides the drivers a possibility of finding the closest loads to their current locations and the closest return loads to their delivery point through the location-based technology we developed. Thus, TIRPORT reduces the amount of 35% -for the “non-revenue” kilometers- to almost 0 for the TIRPORT member drivers. As a result, TIRPORT prevents 35% of the emissions and stops 105.453.000/2= 36.871.678 kg of CO2 emissions.

TIRPORT Protects Green, Nature and The Economy

On the TIRPORT platform, in average, we manage 1850 transportations per day and through these transportations, 151.735 kg of CO2 emission is prevented. This number means that 55.251.87kg of CO2 emission is prevented every year.
TIRPORT contributes to the protection of human health, the prevention of air pollution and to the development of the national economy with the amount of CO2 emission that has been stopped. TIRPORT leaves a better world to the future generations. According to the examples:

* A tree realizes an absorption of 114kg CO2 so we create an impact equivalent to a forest formed by 485.176 trees. This corresponds to two times of the planted trees in the past 20 years in İstanbul.

*The carbon footprints of 1kg of plastics are equal to 6kg of CO2 and from 1kg of plastics, 83,3 bottles are produced. With the amount of CO2 prevented by TIRPORT, 9.208.645 plastics can be recycled; which is equivalent to 767.356.388 bottles. This is a big step to save our planet from pollution of plastics.
Thanks to TIRPORT, emission of CO2 coming as a result of the production of 9.208.645kg plastics, is prevented. This is equal to production of 767.356.388 bottles.

* When we consider that a vehicle releases, in average, 5.200kg of CO2 we can see that the amount of CO2 and other dangerous gasses which TIRPORT prevents, is equal to the air pollution of 10.625 vehicles in traffic. In Turkey, every year 50.000 people die from air pollution. As a result we can understand how important this problem is. We’re working hard, saving our planet and leaving a better world for the next generations…
